At one point I didnot know what a troll bead was I looked into them and went to different shops to see what they were. Every bead looks hand crafted and is different from one another. They come in many different shapes and sizes just to suit your preferences.
The categories of beads are:
Glass troll beads
These beads were deigned by LiseAagaard in 1980’s, but at that time it was difficult to design from small pieces of glass. However, this was possible in the late 90’s with the latest equipment and technology. Now you can find thousands of different trollbeads. Each troll bead has its uniqueness. They come in different sizes, shapes and have different textures to them too. One troll bead I seen has little glass bubbles on the outer surface which looked amazing. Others had colors swirled within the glass which made me wonder.
Letter troll beads
A troll bead of this type will have a letter from the alphabet built into the pattern. People buy these trollbeads to incorporate their name on their necklace, phone charm or bracelet. They also use it to spell out their initials or to signify a loved one. This allows you to make your jewelry personal and maybe tell a storyline through letters and colors.
Gold troll beads
A gold troll bead is expensive but very valuable. They come in many different shapes and sizes, you can also purchase them in forms of fairy tale characters and very abstract shapes. Gold trollbeads will go well with any other troll bead including glass.
OOAK troll beads
This type of troll bead is extremely unique. There is only one of that kind and each one is completely different. Some of these troll bead are slightly imperfect or the color is incorrect, that is the reason for them to be removed out of production. However, looking at the bright side to this, the imperfection is what brings the character and rarity of the individual troll bead.
